Cochin is really a nice place. It's an island. There is not much to see. You can wander around and have a look at the Chinese fishing nets. One day we ve been to the beach on another island. This was nice but very crowded. The 15th of nov we went to allapuzha by train. There was strike in kerala and no shops were open and no busses were driving. It was a mess. We went by rickshaw to the train station and it was raining like hell. I got wet all over. Finally we made the train and got to allapuzha. There we found a nice room and the next day we made a trip through the backwaters by a little boat. This was nice. The water and the palmtrees... everything quiet...
you could see all the people which are living around the water. There were many kids which were shouting all the time that they wanted to have a schoolpen...
but we didn't have. The next day we went by ferry from allapuzha to Kollam. It took 8 hours through the backwaters. It was really nice. The only thing what bothered me was that they had no beer...
hihi...
From Kollam we went to Varkala after a pizza. We met a nice American couple and we were all going together to varkala by taxi. This was good. We arrived in the late evening around 10 pm in Varkala. I didn't know what to expect. We looked at a room with a carpet... I looked at it closer and it seemed that the carpet was living... hoho...
we went to search for another room. Finally we found something which suited us and took it.
