I once read somewhere that when you go to Thailand, you can't wait to leave it...
...but you also can't wait to go back.
That much we agree with. Here is our story, we hope you enjoy reading as much as we've enjoyed experiencing it!

New Year's Day:
We woke up early today and took a taxi to... Queen Saovabha's Snake Farm. I was so super-thrilled because I have been dying to see the cobra shows. Anyhow, we arrive and the entire thing is CLOSED due to New Year's day! I was so bummed.
We decided to switch course and took the taxi out to Siam Square. There was a military troop stationed right in front and before heading into the Siam Mall and Paragon Mall, our bags were thoroughly searched. We felt a bit safer knowing they were taking a plan of action.

First stop: Breakfast!
H started his meal off with a yummy strawberry and cream crepe. Then, we headed into this pastry shop and ate some yummy egg and ham quiche, ham and melted cheese buns, and a muffin.
Strawberries and cream crepe!
Delicious pastries
Cute pastry shop
Would you like some chocolate cake with that hair?
After breakfast, we head into the Siam mall to look around. There are all sorts of cool things to look at, but the one that stood out the most was the food court. We've been eating so damn much on this trip! What's our deal with all the food fascination?
What a cool mall... So many levels too!
Signs to their restroom--This is too funny
H couldn't decide which flavor of gelato to get
Weird to be eating gelato in Thailand...
Siam Mall's foodcourt
Lovely poinsettias line up the walkways
Really cool shrine in front of the Paragon Mall
This mall is just beyond beautiful
Did I already mention how they outrank us in terms of Christmas decorations?
Since it's New Year's day and everything is pretty much closed (except for the malls!) we decided to catch a movie. But, here in Thailand, the movie-going experience is not like any other you'll ever experience. They actually have First Class seats here! We got to watch "Night at the Museum" in luxurious reclining leather sofas, with blankets and pillows. Each pair of sofas are separated by a large space of several feet, making it seem as if you and your honey are in your own movie theater. It's no wonder the guy several feet away from me fell asleep. Its also pretty interesting that right before the movie starts, they play the Thai National Anthem. Everyone in the theater stands to pay respect to the King.
The Paragon Movie Theater
Right before selecting our movie choice, we see the coolest showtimes screen ever! Not only does it show you the times each movie is playing, and in which theater, the images also plays a preview for each movie. So if you go to the theater without any clue as to what a movie's all about, all you have to do is watch the screen for information.
Why don't we have this in America?
The First Class waiting rooms
Equipped with a bar!
Hangin' out while we wait for our movie to begin
They serve us drinks and snacks too!
This is the ultimate movie-going experience!
Ahhh...the life of a First Class movie-goer
After our fantastic movie, we go back out to Siam Square and get another crepe. Then, we walk over to Hard Rock Cafe and along the way, we see a stray dog. I give him the rest of my strawberries and creme crepe, which he seemed to enjoy very much and wanted more of, but at this point, we were out of food. H runs down the block and buys him a ham bun, and we start giving him pieces of it. After a few bites, he doesn't want anymore! Well, this is the 2nd picky stray we've encountered. Obviously, they're not starving too much here in Thailand if they can afford to be choosy.
Crepes galore

Afterwards, we headed back to relax, then went out to dinner with Pink, Wynn, and Nan at 'Dailicious' Thai Restaurant. Yum. Afterwards, we packed up and enjoyed our last night here in Bangkok
