Following masses of preperation my trip of a lifetime was finally a reality. Beginning in the adventurous New Zealand, before taking in delights of Australia over Christmas. Bali was next on the agenda, trading in the comfort of the West for drastic cultural differences of East Asia. The modern city of Singapore next acted as a stepping stone for travel over-land through Malaysia and island-hopping around Thailand. My Adventure finally ended amongst the neon scyscrapers of Hong Kong.

We then jetted off into the sunset and with it the opposite side of Australia, Perth over on the West Coast. The city of Perth is perched in the middle of nowhere, however felt surprisingly clean, modern and functional, with a fair amount to see and do.
Whilst in Perth I celebrated my 23rd Birthday, yet another excuse to sample the good local nightlife and Strongbow Cider! We also had a true Aussie Barbie with all the trimmings (birthday cake and VB!) at a family friends home, Mick and Lorna.
We were also fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to explore Perth and its wider surroundings with Mick and Lorna who kindly took us to some wonderful beaches (yet again!!!) parks and local attractions. We fed galahs, parrots and even came up close to a wild kangaroo who we had been feeding, a first in Oz!
