Day 45 - June 17
At 8:20am my bus to Queenstown started. With my E-Ticket there was no problem, I had to say my name to the driver and he had my name on his list.
The bus trip was really great: lakes, snow mountains, rocks, pastures, meadows, forests etc. Every 10 minutes the landscape completely changed. The driver explained a lot about the way.

At about 4pm I reached Queenstown where I had to find a backpacker hostel. The first was very expensive, the second was full but the third was really good. During the winter you will never have a problem to find a hostel in New Zealand spontanious.
Day 46 - June 18
This day I walked in and around Christchurch. I walked up to a view point.
The sea under the clouds
Later I walked up to the upper platform of a cable car. There was a bob track with really speed and I drove twice. There was also bungee jumping but I am a little bit too afraid about that.

Later I was in the inner city of Queenstown.

Day 47 - June 19
Today I did a walking trip to the Mount del Lemond (1753m). After walking up over 1000 meters I reached the top in about 3.5 hours. The last 50 meters of the mountain has been in clouds.

I hiked on the Old Queenstown More Track and the Moonlight Track to Arthurs Point. This was a very long way. The way home I need to walk along a country road for 7 kilometers but I could stop a car to get back.
Day 48 - June 20
After hiking a whole day a longer bus trip was a good idea for today. We did a lot of scenic stops in the temperated rainforest along the way and the bus driver explained a lot.
On the afternoon I arrived in the small village Fox Glacier.

Day 49 - June 21
I rented a bicycle for one day and I drove to the beach at first. It was only 20 kilometers (13 miles) away but it was very hard to drive. It was going up and down all the time and more then the half of this road was unsealed. And there was a lot of rain in this temperated rainforst on the way.

On the way back from the beach I drove to a lake in the forest.

When I went back to Fox Glacier there was some time left and I drove on to the parking ground of the Glacier. From there it was a good walk to the foot of the glacier. On the way back I get wet again but the view of the glacier was good.

When I arrived at home everything was wet, this was too much rain for my small backpack. My passport inside this backpack is now looking like after a round-the-world trip
It was a good idea to put the camera into a plastic back when the first rain started.
On the evening I met somebody from Switzerland.
Day 50 - June 22
Today I had the next bus trip to Greymouth. The trip was in a great landscape again and after a few hours we reached Greymouth.
After exploring Greymouth I did a brewery-tour at Monteiths on the evening. There was a guided tour, then a beer-tasting and then an AllYouCanEat
Brewery
Cheers
Day 51 - June 23
The first half day I had time left in Greymouth. So I did a walk on a hill near Greymouth.
A view over Greymouth
At 1:45pm my train to Christchurch departed on time. At 6:05pm I reached Christchurch and I had to find the city from the train station somewhere outside the city center. This train trip was really great, it is one of the most scenic tracks in the world.
I spent the night at Nate from the Hospitality Club again. This evening I used one of his computers to burn all my pictures of this round trip on a cd. He was very interested to watch all my pictures I made.
Day 52 - June 24
At 6am on the morning I woke up very tired after a long night at Nate. So I used a bus to the city center instead of walking to sleep some minutes longer.
At 7:15am my bus to Picton started. Now it was some time to see the landscape of the North of the South Island. A very long way the road runs along the beach.
