Well, I'm starting to explore my own country. ;o) That's why i went to Berlin with a friend in december 2004. Here is my short report of our 4-day-trip and i hope to get feedback if you like it or not ... :o)
(I decided to write it in English because i think it's more interesting for 'non-germans' to read about a city in germany ...)

The next day we spent together. Katha had visited the university which had been her most important plan and i had seen all the attractions i was interested in. So for today we had made plans with some guys we had met at a bar. They are from Italy but their first language is German because they live close to the border to Austria. Just one of them didn't speak any German.
After we had waited for the guys we made our way to the Eastside Gallery - a part of the Berlin wall that's left and now under protection as a memorial.
I was really really impressed by the paintings on the wall - and shocked at the same time!
