April 12, 2004:
Jene and I arrived to Venice at 5:30am. Since everything was closed, we decided to have breakfast at the train station and wait a bit before sight-seeing. While drinking our morning cappuccinos, I was being 'subtly' scooted out of my table by a Korean clique of older women. I tried to spread out my breakfast, taking up more of the table space, but eventually, I gave in and left.
After a quick phone call to H, Jene and I walked around the docks, cut through a hospital (thinking it was a shortcut--it wasn't) drank wine at Piazza San Marco, tried on Venetian masks, took ferries for free and ate/napped at the Cafeteria. By 10am, we finished seeing all of Venice.
While I slept, Jene went on the internet and as we headed to the train station to reserve our ticket into Spain, we bumped into Jill and Tomaso (our third bump-in with them). I joined them for dinner, drank some wine and ate some nasty polenta. After that, Jene and I hopped the train for Barcelona, Spain. Before we boarded, we took a mini-shower in Venice's W.C. (aka 'the sink') since we were going to be living on the train for the next 23 hours...

We were yelled at not too soon after this picture...

Apparently, a recurring theme in Venice-- yelled at afterwards for not buying the mask
Poor Tomaso ran all the way downstairs to snap this shot!
After internet, naps, eating and more internet, we all hung out at Casanova watching weird music videos and drinking. Since it was only 5pm, Jilly and Tomaso were the only one on the dance floor.
