After 6 years of working or studying respectively, Panka and me decided to take a time out and to travel through the USA (California, NYC) and some countries of Middle America (Mexico, Guatemala, Belize).
In order to communicate in Middle America, we start our journey in Barcelona with a 1 month Spanish language training.
We are looking forward to our our stay in Barcelona and our journey!
See you and adios!
Travelogue-Specials:
|
As a lot of time passed by since we left Barcelona and as our pictures are unfortunately at home, just a few highlights of our last week:
- visit in Vilanova i la Geltrú, lovely host Pilar and her family, experienced real catalan life in the town and had delicious catalan food, Panka even learned how to cook a Paella
- Espanyol game against Getafe, beautiful new stadium and really good atmosphere
- "Sagrada Familia" and "Palau de la Musica de Catalunya" from the inside, both amazing!
- Quarter "Gracia" again and lunch at the "Boqueria" markethall
- great new roommates (Jens und Christian), together with them, Mathias and Natalia we had a great salsa night after some Mojitos, although I have to admit, that Jens and especially Christian are better dancers, just "a little bit"
- Private "Hotel, Motel, Holiday Inn"-Party in the "W Hotel"
- Sitges, beautiful little village with great beaches
- "Roman" Tarragona with our friends Jurjen and Chiela from Holland, many thanks for showing us around!
- "National Art Museum of Catalunya", impressive!
After a great last evening with our roommates and our "special guest" Natalia on "Placa del Born", after great 4 weeks with great people and after learning the basics of the Spanish language in order to survive in Central-America we had to say good bye to Barcelona...but for sure we´ll be back...¡Hasta luego!
