Day 82 - July 24
In the morning I arrived at Sucre, where I found a very nice Youth Hostel very near to the bus station. I would like to recommend it: Hostelling International - follow the signs from the bus station, a 2-minute walk.
This day I walked around alone because I wanted to spend some time on my own and Sucre seems to be safe. The inner city is nice and clean. I visited Casa de la Libertad, the house where the independence of Bolivia was signed in August 6, 1825.
Afterwards I visited the cathedral and got very hungry for lunch because I felt well again.
When I went by bus back to the hostel, I used a bus with a half wrong scenic route. The bus went nearly everywhere and then to the hostel. So I had something like a round-trip to see more of Sucre.
After a break in the hostel I visited the marked, not so big then in La Paz but also with many MP3-CDs... and oranges without end. Then I went by taxi to the Recoleta-hill to have a nice view over the city during sunset.
The evening I spent with 2 german pupils in the hostel.
Day 83 - July 25
This day I did a tour to Dinosaurier footprints near Sucre. In a stone break construction these foogprints were found. Everything was explained also in english.
Later I went to the Kultur Cafe Berlin, a Café in a german style, yeah, you can drink Bavarian Erdinger Beer there
There was also a picture of Cologne Cathedral, very interesting what pictures and other stuff from Germany they have.
When I wanted to take a bus direction Argentina I found out that my bus should drive the whole night into another direction to Santa Cruz and then I should go on another bus direction Argentina. This was no good idea on these bad roads. So I decided to waste my ticket and took the next delayed, because not full, bus to Potosi at first. In the late evening I arrived in Potosi in the hope to catch another night bus to Villazon on the Argentinian border. But when I was there the bus station was closed and somebody told me there is no more bus in this direction tonight. After searching a little bit around for other busses around the bus station I gave up and looked into the Lonely Planet for a hostel nearby. When I wanted to get in a taxi I saw a bus with a "Villazon" sign coming on the main street. I waved this bus down and got the "Last Second Engine Already Running But Free Places" - Price and so I had a terrible night trip in a cold bus on a very bad unsealed road to Villazon. At the beginning the driver doubled the worth of the bus by filling it up
