Very exciting times ahead, I'm gonna do a trip around the world! Starting from London I'll do South Africa, Singapore and South East Asia, Newzealand and the North American West coast and back to London. Wow! I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences with you!

How does it feel to come home? good when there's a bunch of people coming to pick you up with a big bar of chocolate. mmhhh. Such happened at Vancouver Airport after the longest day of my travels (due to 16hours addontime from New Zealand). Another thing about coming home is that you don't plan many touristy things, but concentrate on the social part of the city: BBQs, beer, beach, concerts, sushi, more beer...
The main reason for my stay was the University congregation where I officially received my PhD. nice occasion, nice clothing.
through the hat!
The new PhD and her Doctormom (= supervisor)
My parents joined in the occasion and after seeing the Capilano suspension bridge and kayaking the Burrard Inlet (= tourist program), we were off together to travel down the US westcoast in a mobile home.

Hi Sandra, good to hear you're well and having fun. Don't worry about the camera. I'm also in expert in this field. I destroyed Barbara's camera in a hot spring on Vancouver Island... Such is life (and sometimes it's getting sucher and sucher). But a get a new one soon, so we can see more nice pictures from your trip. Safe travels and enjoy, cheers from Boston, Kira, Tom & Micky

Hey wasn't the airline able to find your camera? USe your TRAVEL INSURANCE and tell them it got stolen in Cambodia (your advice when my camera was destroyed by a rogue wave in Mexico!)! Ha!! I guess we've both been on crazy travel adventures... my advice to everyone reading this though is DO NOT go to Venice alone. It's a place for happy couples. I want to go home now! Also, Berlin is AWESOME.
