Marc & Nora ROUND THE WORLD 2005/2006 - Join us!

Travel time: September 2005 - July 2006  |  by marc and nora L.

ECUADOR: Cuenca

We just stayed 2 nights in Cuenca, had a look around the city centre, werent too impressed and planned our trip north to Alausi, from where we wanted to take the Train to the infamous "Nariz de Diablo" (the Devils Nose). We also went to the Banco Central museum which displays Ecuadorian history through pictures, models and other images. This included some examples of real shrunken heads from the jungle tribes....interesting!

We had company of Keke, the musician we met during our exciting journey from one road block to the other and spent 2 relaxing days in Cuenca. Found a cafe called AUSTRIA which had a quite nice Sachertorte! Mhhh! Like at home!
