Labadie beach is a nice beach just about five miles from Accra Centre. There are restaurants, souvenir shops and of course bars with cold drinks, the most important things under the African sun! If you go there on weekdays there are only a few people and most are white. You can just relax and watch the waves roll up to shore near the restaurants edges. It looks like an endless try to get a cold drink too because the water is about 30 degress C and I'm sure the waves wouldn't mind to have a cold shot too. It's a totally different world on weekends or holidays. I guess all Accra is there and how? At Labadie you see every kind of people. Some are dressed up in their finest clothes, some are chilling in sneakers and T-shirts, and others are wearing swim suits, all covered in sand and running in and out the water. People either bring their own food or buy it in the restaurants. You see people playing soccer and volleyball next to people having lobster with rice in their best dress. In the early evening it's hard to walk to the beach or wade in the water because of the crowds. It is so crowded that all you see are people, people, and more people! It's a big party with everybody's dress code and no chance of escaping the fun; you have to join in on the partying.
