The majority of our time in Denmark has been with Julius's Aunt Lotte and her partner Søren. They have been so incredibly kind with their home and time. It has really been a very special time for us.
They live in a lovely town just outside of Århus whose name I can't pronounce but it sounds very like Oogy Boogy to me. It is such a cosy house with a beautiful view of the harbour. The days have been very short so we have been able to enjoy watching both sunrise (around 8.30 - 9am) and sunset (about 3-4pm). The short days have been hard for me to adjust to and I find myself falling asleep very, very early.

Sunrise.
We have been eating a lot of danish food which means rye bread and cheese for breakfast, lunch and dinner. YUM!
I really, really love the way the Danes light their interiors. There is a lot of candle light used and beautiful lamp-shades and lamps.
A typical Danish dinner in a very Danish home with very Danish lighting.
Lotte with a book one of her students made for her.
On our second (or maybe it was our third) night in Denmark. Lotte and Søren took us to the Music Theatre in Århus to see MY FAIR LADY on stage. It was a really lovely night and it was really lovely to have the opportunity to see theatre in another country. Luckily for us the musical was in English or we may have had a bit of difficulty!

Lotte and Soren took us to a little island near Oogy Boogy where the ruins of an old castle/fort thing is where the Danes held the Swedish King captive for a couple of years.
It was quite chilly.
I think we found Avalon.
Me with Soren and Lotte.
I knocked but the witch said that Hansel and Gretel weren't home . . .
