Buenos Aires mi querido . . . what can I say about BA except if you haven´t been there YOU JUST GOTTA GO! Everything is so good and so cheap and so cool . . .
Our first night in BA was Jo and Bob´s last night in SA so we had to have a fancy pants dinner and drink to mark the occasion!
That´s the way!
BYE GUYS! THANKS FOR THE RIDE!
So, back down to 3!
In amongst all the shopping and eating we were doing, we managed to go and see some touristy stuff as well . . .
Julius contemplating life in Recoleta
The must see thing in BA is the Recoleta cemetary. This place is OUTTA CONTROL! I´ve never seen so many over-the-top tombs in my life. These Argentines really go to town. The other pull for Recoleta, is that the incredibly famous (or infamous depends which way you look at it) Evita Peron is buried here.
Yes, this is a grave
As is this
You can sometimes see the coffins . . AHHHHHH! Spooky!
Trying to get our album cover right
La Boca is another ¨must do¨ attraction. Partly because of the soccer stadium and Maradona´s famed Boca Junior team and also beacause La Boca is a really cool little wharf barrio where Tango is said to have originated.
God
Holding a press conference for Boca Juniors
Julius running through some tactics
La Boca
Julius being accosted by nasty and pushy tango dancers
San Telmo is also a cool barrio with tango, cobbled streets and millions of antique shops.
Julius working it in San Telmo
Curly being serenaded
Lovin´ourselves sick in San Telmo
Julius on the famous Julio Av . . .
Unfortunately, Julius has had to leave for home. It is now just Curly and I against the big bad world. You´ll hear more from us but things have been a lot less interesting now that MeJulie is gone . . .
