Backpacking (Western) Europe

Travel time: April 2004  |  by Christina E.

Italy: Roma (pt II)- Last Day

Last day:

Despite the 'incident' that occurred at the M&J Hostel our first week into our backpacking adventure, Jene and I braved a stay there and hoped that we wouldn't run into the raving lunatic since we last got caught showering in the staff restroom. Miraculously, we managed to slip by without him noticing our visit. That night, we spent the night chatting with Andy and Chris, also sharing a dormitory with us for the night. Jene and I enjoyed our last Italian meal, went on the internet and climbed into bed for an early train ride to the airport.

Our trip is over as quickly as it began. I still can't believe we went backpacking together, let alone backpacking period. I definitely had an amazing time and I will always have a fondness for Europe, especially Italy, because of my living-abroad experience. Hopefully one day soon, I'll be able to backpack Eastern Europe. Until then, Adieu, Ciao, Auf Wiedersehen...I hope you enjoyed reading about our journey and experiences.
