My trip around the world... India

Travel time: July 2004 - December 2007  |  by Nicole Schemionek

from the north to the south...: 16.09. In Mahabalipuram

Hallo folks...

yesterday I arrived in marallapuram, a little town two hours by bus from pondicherry. I really like it over here. It is just a little town with many tempels around and very nice people. I got a very nice room on the roof of a house and a beautiful terrasse, where I can practise yoga. In the night there is a fantastic seabreeze and it is not so hot up here. yesterday I ve been to the beach and I got to know quite some people. Also a young guy with the name sala. He was very nice and helpful... Yesterday evening I went to the moonrakers and I met a canadian guy, jazz and a dutch guy, rosario. We got on together very well. We had some beers and within half an hour many indian people were joining in and it was just big fun. After the bar closed, we went all to my terrasse and went on partying. It was so much fun and we really laughed a lot. After a while they all went home and me, I went to my really nice soft bed... Hiih... today I met with rosario and we went on his scooter to a funpark MGM. It was so great over there... We were driving in every possible thing and we had big laughes. And as always... It started to rain at some point... Hiih... And I got wet all over again... That was also fun, because the rain really is following me. Everywhere I ve been to until now... The second day it is just raining very much... Maybe I should prepare a bit better next time. After the park we went back to mamallapuram and we went to a beach restaurant and I had my first fish... We could choose the fish we wanted and the we gave him the name paul... after he was grilled... We ate paul... And it was very very nice... As in holland we would say "het was overheerlijk lekker" maybe we don't say it like this, but that's then the german dutch way of saying that it was delicious... Hihi... we also got a nice strong king fisher and after the restaurant closed we went to the beach, we looked for a dry fisherboat to sit on and we found one as well. So we were sitting there with our beers, chatting and watching the waves with a nice seabreeze. That was really great... I really enjoyed myself so much the last two days that I ve almost forgotten about auroville. Maybe that's better. Auroville is just a dead place... For me it was... So I am very glad that katja actually told me about this place. I will stay here for a while and then see where the wind is blowing me...
Take care out there. Greetz... Nicole.
